Urie, who starred on the Broadway show Kinky Boots for ten weeks, has taken a small break from the music scene, but is back with a new perspective. Just two years later, he announced that his sixth album, Pray for the Wicked, is due June 22 via Ramen/DCD2 Records. Two tracks from the record have already dropped – “Say Amen (Saturday Night)” and “(Fuck A) Silver Lining.” Both singles are easily recognizable as Panic! tunes, however, they add a fresh, edgy tone to Urie’s compilation. Urie’s voice is undeniable, with a unique tune across all of the album’s tracks, along with catchy, original lyrics. The album features songs “Victorious” and “Don’t Threaten Me With A Good Time,” offering a blend of orchestral pop-punk and rock. In 2016, Panic! returned with Death Of A Bachelor, Urie’s first solo project after the departure of Panic! co-founder Spencer Smith. The alternative band, now solely led by Urie, is best known for the 2005 smash hit, “I Write Sins Not Trajedies,” which has been a staple song of the early 2000s. Panic! At The Disco, fronted by Brendon Urie, announced they will be hitting the road again this summer, with a sixth studio album on the way. ![]()
